On Sunday Nov. 15 a group of student athletes the from the Murrieta Valley HS girls and boys water polo program helped the Murrieta Rotary club take down over 2000 flags from the Field of Honor in Murrieta.
Adelle Lynton, wife of Murrieta Valley water polo head coach Bryan Lynton, is involved with the Murrieta Rotary club and organized for the team to help out. Not only did the teams take down the flags, they also helped set them up. Feeding off the energy and patriotic vibe, the boys team went on to win the CIF-SS Division 3 Championships with a 12-8 win over Capistrano Valley on Saturday, Nov 21. The girls team will begin play on Dec. 3 against Coronado and open up league play on Jan. 12 against Murrieta Mesa.
