
MURRIETA – Traffic backed up for several miles on the I-215 freeway after a two-vehicle rollover traffic accident Sept. 1. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-215, just south of Los Alamos Road in Murrieta. The accident was reported at 11:22 a.m.
California Highway Patrol officers, Murrieta Firefighters and AMR paramedics rushed to the accident scene to render aid to anyone injured in the accident.
When emergency first respondents arrived at the location, they reportedly found at least two vehicles involved. One vehicle, described as a silver Subaru, was on its side. No information was available regarding the second vehicle that was reportedly involved. All of the occupants were already out of the vehicles.
Paramedics evaluated the victims at the scene. All were reportedly uninjured in the accident and declined further medical treatment.

Southbound traffic was heavily backed up as motorists slowly passed the scene. Northbound traffic was mildly effected by those trying to get a view of the accident scene.
Fire crews and other officials remained at the scene for nearly one hour while CHP officers conducted am accident investigation and others worked to clear debris from the roadway.
It was not immediately known what led to the rollover accident. CHP officials are continuing there investigation into the cause of this accident.
