MURRIETA – One person was killed Tuesday night in a fiery crash in the French Valley area near Murrieta.
The two-vehicle crash was reported at 7:23 p.m. May 24, at the intersection of Willows Avenue and Goldenrod Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The first arriving firefighters found one of the vehicles fully engulfed in flames, April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department said.
“Firefighters quickly contained the fire to the vehicle and surrounding bushes,” she said.
A person in the vehicle died at the scene, Newman said.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
